The M40A6 is a tier 3 sniper rifle
Overview
The M40A6 is the second CR bolt-action sniper rifle available for purchase. Compared to the SV-98, it suffers significantly in damage output and armour penetration. This may impede performance against enemies equipped with body armour or at farther distances. Further, it lacks any customization, which may prove problematic over time.
However, it is noticeably more mobile, much more accurate, and the bolt cycle animation is extremely stable, resulting in much better target re-acquisition. For players with seasoned aiming, the performance of the M40A6 is reasonable enough for its expensive initial buy and similarly costly repair cost.

To acquire the W-Task for the M40A6, one must acomplish 20 Ragekills. This will unlock a silencer and the weapon will be renamed to M40A6 Silenced.

- Having the skill "Silencer Parts Alignment" adds +1 damage to the tasked version
- The sound of the weapon is oddly enough, extremely bassy and loud, much moreso than its higher caliber cousin, the SV-98.
