Skill or also known as skill tree is a special feature in Contract Wars, allows you to enhance weapon stats, giving you more advantages in normal gameplay or the unique SPEC weapon of each class.
To acquire skill, players need to have Skill Points.
There are total of 5 main classes in Contract Wars: Scout, Assault, Destroyer, Sniper and Gunsmith as well as one extra skill tree called as Careerist
Scout
Scout tree mainly focused on mobility stats for main weapons and enhancing pistol stats.
After unlocking certain skills, players will grant access to the following SPEC weapons: TT pistol, MP5SD Spec SMG and Vityaz SMG
Clan skill: Clan scout will get access to the following skills ( depend on clan leader unlocked the skill or not ):
- +10 accuracy to every weapons and 50% sonar time.
- Binoculars.
- Visual target ID for binoculars ( broken at the moment ).
Assault
Assault tree is mainly focused on main weapon damage, giving you access to armor and heath generation.
After unlocking certain skills, players will grant access to the following SPEC weapons: AS VAL MOD.3 Spec and Saiga Full Auto (FA)
Clan skill: Clan assault will get access to the following skills ( depend on clan leader unlocked the skill or not ):
- 7 penetration to every weapons and 1 extra magazine for main weapon.
- Thermal vision goggles.
- Friendly/Foe identification for thermal vision.
Destroyer
Destroyer tree is mainly focused on recoil skill, giving you access to grenade, double ammo capacity for weapons and the powerful Fire Stabilization skill.
After unlocking certain skills, players will grant access to the PKP Pecheneg SPEC machine gun.
Clan skill: Clan destroyer will get access to following skills ( depend on clan leader unlocked the skill or not ):
- Destroyer specialization 1: 15 heath and 20 armor
- Destroyer specialization 2: 15 heath and 20 armor
- Ammo replenishment for clanmates and yourself.
Sniper
Sniper tree is mainly focused on accuracy skill, giving you ability to detech enemies soldier and spotting targets.
After unlocking certain skills, players will grant access to the VSSK Vikhlop SPEC sniper rifle
Clan skill: Clan sniper will get access to following skills ( depend on clan leader unlocked the skill or not ):
- +7 mobility to every weapons and 30% more exp gains
- Antiflare optic ( counter sniper's Attention III skill )
- Adjustable optic ( works for sniper rifle only )
Gunsmith
Gunsmith tree is mainly focused on enhancing more weapons stats, allows them to be 100% accurate of all time, boosting mortar and sonar power and target destionation mode skills.
Clan skill: Clan gunsmith will get access to following skills ( depend on clan leader unlocked the skill or not ):
- Less kills to acquiring kill streaks and +10 damage to every weapons.
- Faster beacon placing/defusing time ( Target designation ) and faster target capturing ( Tactical Conquest )
- Ability to capture targets by yourself ( Tactical Conquest only )
Careerist
Beside other skill tree, this skill tree is made especially for renting, skills here only lasts according to the amout of time it got rent. Most skill here is boosters - skills that help players to get more amount of progress like EXP gains, achievement, wtask and contract, as well as other minor skills.
Normal skill trees also provide career tree like skill.

- Gunsmith tree is the only skill tree do not have a SPEC weapon.
- However, scout tree is the only tree to have 3 SPEC weapons, following by assault tree with 2 SPEC weapons and 1 for destroyer and sniper tree.
- Originally, in careerist skill tree, there was a skill called "Skill specialist", which will give the players double the amount of SP earned on every 5 levels ( 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 ) but it got removed due to the amount of glitched SP got exploited to avoid unfair advantages to newcomers.
